SED Flow Control
SED Flow Control GmbH manufacture a wide range of reliable high quality diaphragm valves tailored to suit the biotech and pharmaceutical industry and wherever clean and purified water is a necessity.
Valve model types are generally Steripur, KMA and KMD, along with associated controls. The SED Diaphragm valves are Manual/hand operated or Pneumatically operated.
These Diaphragm valves are made up of high quality stainless steel with a polished surface of 0.25 to 0.8 µm and can be used in many sterile processes.
Flexachem Manufacturing Ltd, offer SED Flow Control Gmbh valves. All are manufactured in Germany to the highest ASME BPE Standards.

- High lifetime of Diaphragm and valve
- Low weight
- Compact actuators available
- Optional Locking device (U-Lock)
- Plastic or Stainless steel handwheel actuators
- Multi-port valves available (contact us for more info)
What is a Diaphragm valve?
A Diaphragm valve is a flexible, pressure responsive element that
transmits force to throttle, open or close a valve. Diaphragm valves separate the flow stream from the closure element using an elastomeric diaphragm, which is a flexible, durable material. The diaphragm in a valve serves as a seal to prevent the liquid encountering other operating parts of the valve, avoiding contamination, corrosion and wear.
The diaphragm valve is well suited to control of the flow of corrosive materials and avoiding contamination of product within many processes around “clean utilities”, WFI (water-for-injection), and many purified water applications in Pharma & Bio Pharma industry
