Technical Data
Rotomolding:
Process: Plastic resin is melted in a heated metal mold and rotated on multiple axes. The molten plastic coats the interior surface evenly, creating a uniform thickness.
Advantages:
- Low-cost tooling with no core required.
- Stress-free parts due to the absence of core pressure.
- Design flexibility for mold modifications after prototyping.
Rotolining:
- Process: Similar to rotomolding, but the metal mold becomes the exterior of the finished part. Ideal for complex shapes or thicker fluoropolymer linings.
- Fluorolock (TM): Variation for elevated temperatures or vacuum applications. Includes a wire screen or mesh welded to the interior of the metal before rotolining, creating a stronger mechanical bond.
Advantages
Rotomolding:
- Cost-effective tooling.
- Stress-free, seamless parts.
- High design flexibility.
Rotolining:
- Suitable for complex geometries and thicker linings.
- Enhanced mechanical bond with Fluorolock for severe conditions.
Industries
- Chemical Processing
- Water Treatment
- Pharmaceutical Manufacturing
- Food and Beverage
Applications
- Filter Housings: Ideal for fluid handling and filtration systems.
- Columns: Used in various separation and process systems.
- Vessels and Vessel Covers: Suitable for containment and storage applications.
- Spool Sections: For connecting pipes and tubes in complex systems.
- OEM Free-Standing Parts: Custom components for specialized equipment.
