The function of the Pneumatic Actuators Type KP Series 1 / 2 / 3 is to adjust the opening of the valve according to the instrument signal to ensure correct control of the process media.
Depending on the actuator selected, the valve position may be open or closed, as in the case of isolating valves, or continuously modulating in the case of control valves.
Flowserve offers different types of actuators according to the thrust or torque required to operate rotary or linear control valve designs.

Specifications
- Series 1: Compact actuators for 1/2″ valves and smaller, featuring chromalized and epoxy resin-coated aluminum for corrosion resistance.
- Series 2: Stainless Steel actuators for valve sizes from 1/2″ to 6″, with fail-open or fail-close positions and various accessories such as handwheel or limit stop.
- Series 3: Heavy Duty pneumatic diaphragm actuators with diaphragm areas of 1700cm² and 3200cm², designed for extreme powerful usage with a maximum thrust level of up to 10 tons.
