The CORA SRF Valve is a dosing valve, It is the ideal solution for weighing applications where variable flow rates are required. The larger diameter rotor allows the quick transfer of large quantities and smaller inner rotor trickle feeds for an accurate final weighing. The CORA SRF valve is designed for fast bulk flow and accurate final dosing. Rotors are powered by double acting pneumatic actuators. Flow rates are controlled by modifying the number of oscillations per minute. The valve has double rotors with same or opposite direction rotation. The larger rotor allows the quick transfer of large quantities of powders and granules while helping to break bridges and lumps. The smaller rotor provides accurate final dosing.

Equipment  Served:

  • Mills
  • Tablet press machines
  • Capsule fillers machines
  • Micro-dosing machines
  • Sieves

The external rotor makes a rough dosing and adjusts the product flow, while the internal rotor makes a delicate dosing. It’s possible to manufacture a rotor with a number of pockets and volume customized, to be able to reach the requested weight.  The maximum accuracy achievable is + – 20 gr. (data varies based on the different kinds of product to be dosed). The valve can be interfaced with dosing systems (see data sheet) and with more or less complex weighing systems.

Technical Data

  • Engineered Polymer Composite Construction offers cost-effective corrosion-resistance, is lightweight, non-galling, non-sparking, and non-conductive.
  • Unitized Case with Integrally Molded Flanges at the suction and discharge nozzles, fully gusseted for structural soundness.
  • Externally Adjustable, Semi-Open Impeller provides consistently high efficiencies and minimizes maintenance.
  • Shaft/Bearing System operates below the first critical speed for less shaft whip and longer bearing life.
  • Bearings can be lubricated by external flush or self-lubricated by the pump fluid.
  • Single-Piece Column is lightweight, filament-wound, reinforced fiberglass composite for strength and rigidity.

Advantages

  • Lightweight and corrosion-resistant due to engineered polymer composite construction.
  • High efficiency and minimal maintenance with externally adjustable impeller.
  • Long bearing life with low shaft whip and flexible lubrication options.
  • Robust construction with unitized case and reinforced single-piece column.
